The Bridg'it Venture staff aim to provide support and guidance to students, fostering feelings of self worth, value and respect for themselves and others.

Students are encouraged to get out and enjoy themselves doing what most young people like to do such as a shopping spree, a trip to the cinema, a meal in town, or a night out with friends. Discussions and role modeling aid understanding of appropriate and acceptable behaviour for different social occasions.

While strong friendships are made among the student group, students are able to interact with a large variety of people through their work in the yard and social contact with the local community. More senior students are encouraged to greet and assist visitors arriving in the yard.

Visits to local businesses and organisations help illustrate a wider world and broaden knowledge of community and commerce. These visits also provide contact with people in genuine working situations and often prompt lively discuussion within the group.
