5K Loch Ness Fun Run. Not a bad weather-wise day for the Loch Ness 5k fun run. All Bridg'it Venture staff and students plus 2 ex students at the starting point, all in our 'blues' and raring to go! The sound of the foghorn goes, and we're off! I first started with Nola but she was too slow for me (no offence Nola!) so I caught up with Helen who was holding Rowena's hand and Beth was lagging behind them, so I took her hand and we were both soon running alonside Helen and Rowena. Beth and I ran on to catch up with Grace, who was well ahead of us and doing really well running by herself. There was no chance we were catching up with Janie and Mikey, they were well gone! Beth and I running on, getting cheered on by the marshalls "Can you do it?" Beth - "Yes we can, come on Christine!" That was me away then (!) Both of us reaching the finish line at 47 minutes. Geoff crossed the finish line with his right arm longer than his left from pulling Leanne (ex student) along! Carol and Lyn got their names mentioned when they were approaching the finish line. After the race it tipped it down with rain. Untill next year... |
