The importance of effective communication, in all its forms, is encouraged at the Bridg'it Venture. Opportunities to practice these skills present themselves in numerous ways including discussion groups, one-to-one training with staff members, student meetings and team work within the yard.

As students gain in confidence they will be guided through simple dealings with the public - greeting clients, assisting with a riding class, receiving and understanding instructions, using the telephone and relaying messages.

Personal development discussions promote an understanding of non-verbal communication and body language in work and social situations leaving the students better-equipped to cope with relationships.

Contact with horses allows students to develop mutual respect and trust through good communication and partnership. This is apparent in both riding and horse care situations.
