Who Are We?

The Bridg'it Venture aims to provide training for work and greater independence through a structured and varied programme of activities and experiences.

We welcome young people with a range of special needs from the age of 16, normally up to age 25.

The Bridg'it Venture is a private charitable trust with a staff team of six experienced individuals, qualified in special needs care and education, equine studies, nursing and management. A board of Trustees, comprising professional advisers and managers together with parents of ex-students, ensure the smooth-running of the Venture.

Established in 1992, the Venture is based at the Highland Riding Centre on the shores of Loch Ness, near Inverness, UK. It grew from the work of the Highland Group, Riding for the Disabled Association, one of the largest RDA groups in Britain and itself over 30 years old. From these firm roots the Bridg'it Venture has grown to become a well respected resource providing training for young people with learning disabilities from all over Scotland and beyond.
